Turn your projects into compelling stories — ready to share again and again

Written with the thinking to match

Show the impact you deliver

Your projects affect people in profound ways. But too often that work goes unnoticed — because you’ve not yet found the narrative to make it land.

Whether you’re describing the social value of a campus library, the technical challenges of an office retrofit, or a sensitive addition to a historic home, our project stories bring clarity to complex ideas — so clients can find you and the industry can learn from you.

Build trust and desire

Visuals show the space, but a well-told story explains the creativity and expertise that made it happen — and gives clients the confidence to pick up the phone.

Make yourself memorable

People share stories. A compelling narrative travels — across socials, into inboxes, onto award panels, and into rooms you're not in.

Inspire industry change

When you articulate what you've done and why it matters, you show the rest of the industry what’s possible.

01

Strategy call

Strategy call

We start with a conversation about the project — what it is, what made it interesting, and what you want people to take away.

02

Narrative development

Narrative development

We develop the narrative angles and share them with you before we write a word.

03

Client interview

Client interview

We conduct the client interview. You make the introduction; we handle the rest.

Delivery
Delivery

We draft, revise, and deliver. Two rounds of revisions are included — most clients find they don't need both.

Why StoreyBoard?

We understand the pressure

Getting a case study right takes time — finding the angles, talking to clients, drafting, and refining. When you’re busy running your business, overseeing projects, and managing your team, writing rarely makes it to the top of the to-do list. We take it off your plate, and the quality reflects the work.

Our writing starts with thinking

Instead of just describing what was built, we find out what it means — to the people who use it, and the client who commissioned it. It’s the impact that gets you noticed.

We write for your clients, not just your peers

Most case studies are too technical and jargon-heavy for a lay reader. We write for the people who need to be persuaded — clients, planning committees, investors, and the public.

We know the industry

We’ve written about almost every building typology under the sun (never a stadium yet though…). With over a decade working with placemakers in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia, we understand the pressures you face and what your clients care about.

We only work with clients we believe in

If your work has real social or environmental impact, more people should know about it. That's why we're selective about who we work with — and why we care about getting the story right.

Do you specialise in a sector or typology?

No. We care more about the impact of the work than the building type or scale. We've written about pretty much every typology you could visit in your lifetime. From hospitals to homes, school to universities, leisure centres, churches, public squares, markets, offices, research labs, hotels, wine bars, ice rinks, skate parks, and even crematoriums. Throw a typology our way — let's see if we've covered it before.

How long does it take?

Most projects take two to three weeks from our initial conversation to final delivery. If you're working to a deadline — an award submission or a website launch — tell us upfront and we'll work to it.

What do you need from me?

A discovery call, and any relevant drawings, photos, and reports/presentations. Also an introduction to your client for the interview. Most clients find the process involves less of their time than they expected.

Can I use the content for things other than the website?

Yes. The long-form case study is structured so sections can be lifted and used in bids, award submissions, presentations, reports, and publications.

Why not just use AI?

AI can write, but it can't think. The results tend to be fast and cheap, and recognisable as both. People can tell, and yes it matters.
